Adam Delong’s three goals helped the Czechs beat Switzerland 6–4. The home team got ahead of their opponent to the first place of group A.
Switzerland froze the stormy arena by scoring an early game-opener. The Czechs answered during a very wild spell halfway through the period. Four goals within a minute and fourteen seconds were scored and the home team took the lead 3–2. Despite more good chances on both sides no other shots found the net on either side, so the Czech Republic held the one-goal lead after twenty minutes.
Goals were replaced by emotions, maximum effort and a few quarrels as well in the second period. Both teams kept playing their best and created some interesting opportunities. But the goalies along with their defenders stopped all of the shots so the score remained 3–2 after two periods.
The exciting floorball performance culminated in the last period. Switzerland equalized early in the third but the Czechs kept pushing, scored some beautiful goals and won 6–4. Adam Delong completed his second tournament hat-trick and the Czech Republic moved to the first place of the group table. Both teams advanced to the quarterfinals directly.
