IBF Falun Champions Cup winners again – 08.10.2017

IBF Falun are Champions Cup winner for the fourth time. This time it was Finnish champions Classic who were defeated in the final with 7-4.

Classic held on half the final game as they took the lead first through Miro Lehtinen and then through Mikko Leikkanen who scored on a on a box play. Falun never flinched, though, as Johan Fahlström equalized during the very same penalty and then it was time to decide the game. With Alexander Galante Carlström scoring with his usual unstoppable shot from the middle of the slot, Omar Aldeeb finishing after a skillful high ball by Johannes Larsson and a soft goal by Adam Fernqvist, Falun had a comfortable 5-2 lead into the third.

Lassi Vänttinen’s power play goal on four against three in the beginning of the final period did little as Emil Johansson soon extended Falun’s lead.
