Dalen beat SPV - avoids Storvreta in the semi-finals — 05.10.2012Both Dalen and SPV gave the crowd in Exel Arena a good show and a great game in the last match of the day. The tempo was high, the combinations many – and both teams scored nice goals. In the end Dalen stood as winner 6-5.
But it was a very close game. The Finns were very effective in power play with three goals on four attempts. That was when they went from 2-4 to 5-4. In the third period Dalen´s Ketil Kronberg scored the equalizer with eight minutes remaining. With only two minutes left Milan Tomasik became the hero for the home team by scoring 6-5 with a hard shot from distance, in power play. SPV got a last chance when Erik Härkönen was free in the slot but Dalen´s goalie, Fredrik Hörnkvist, made a great save. Dalen will now play Tatran in the late semi-final tomorrow.
