Dalen - Storvreta in the final — 07.10.2012

Two Swedish teams will play in the IFF Champions Cup final on Sunday. The home team from Umeå defeated Tatran Stresovice with 8-2.

Tatran stood up for two periods and five minutes and kept the score in 0-1 until the third period. So far Dalen had controlled the game but Tatran´s defense was compact and they relied on counter attacks.

The turning point came after five minutes in the third period when Dalen scored four goals in six minutes. After that it was a heavy game for Tatran.

In the third period Dalen´s Christian Hjort was involved in many of the goals, he got the assist to both 2-0 and 4-0. And then he scored 5-0 from a rebound by Tatran´s skilled keeper Tomas Kafka.

- I did not do so well in the first games, so I am happy that I could play as I was so bad. It´s a relief that I succeeded a bit and that I could give two assists as well, that´s something I am used to, says Christian Hjort, who celebrated his assists.

It was a game with two different phases. The first two periods with just one goal and a tight defense from Tatran whereas the third period included nine goals in total. The final score was 8-2.
