<title>Los Angeles won 1st ever US National Floorball title</title>
<link>http://www.floorball.org/news.asp?kieli=826&amp;id_tiedote=1621</link>
<description>

Innebandy LA takes the 1st US National Floorball Championship Title in a dramatic shootout win.The US National floorball Championship tournament hosted by Mr. P. Erik Larsson of www.floorballca.com, was played August 14-15, 2010 at The-Rinks in Huntington Beach, California.
The tournamentwas played in combination with the 3rd annual US Open Floorball Championship. With great support from The USFbA, Mr. Calle Karlsson (USFba vice president), Mr. Vince Faso, the Fresno Floorball Club, Mr. Andrew Beyer, and all volunteers, this year’s tournament was a great success.
Biggest Floorball event in California
Seven Elite teams, five Intermediate teams and four youth teams competed in the tournament, making this the biggest floorball event to date in California. The majority of the teams came from California but I was also honored to host a team from Colorado and two teams from Austin, Texas. All teams in each division played a full set of round robin games to determine play-off position.
US Open Youth Division
Four teams competed in the US Open Youth Division. This division was designed for players to have fun and to learn the game of floorball at the same time.Therewasa talented group of young hockey players who had a great time on the field.
The Youth Division tournament had great success in introducing floorball not only as its own sport but also as a great compliment to hockey in general. The credit goes to the coaches – especially Mr. Peter Torsson - and all the parents willing to try something new.
US Open Intermediate Division
In the US Open Intermediate Division, I was blown away by the U19 Ice Hockey teams from the CA Heat Organization. Again all the credit goes to Mr.Torsson who some years ago introduced Floorball to his hockey community as an off–ice training / conditioning tool.
This was the 3rd year Mr.Torssonr brought teams to the US Open – WOW they are getting good. With three teams from the Heat, one from Austin Texas and one from the The-Rinks in-line group, the stage was set for a great tournament.
In the end the CA Heat RED Team were the worthy US Open Champions by winning all games including a 7 – 0 victory over Austin in the Semi final and a 5 – 2 win in the Final over The-Rinks. In addition to their impressive victory in the tournament, the CA Heat RED had the No. 1 Goalie in Tucker May and the No. 1 Points maker in Connor McPherson. The bottom line is that they were a hard team to beat.
Also worthy of mention is the AUSTIN team. After having a tough time and losing all their round-robin games and facing elimination in the only quarter final, Austin had one last chance to show its best game. Austin took that chance by beating the CA Heat Yellow team 4-3 in a shootout and captured the last semi-final spot. After losing to the CA Heat RED in the semifinal, Austin again regrouped and came up with a win over CA Heat Black to capture the Bronze in the US Open Intermediate Division.
US Nationals Elite Division
In the Elite Division, Colorado, Fresno and San Francisco did not make the playoffs, leaving San Diego, Innebandy LA, So.Cal UFC and Austin to fight for the Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals.San Diego defeated Austin in the first semifinal, 6-0. LA overcame So.Cal UFC after the tournaments most intense and tight game by scoring the 3-2 winner with only seconds left in the game. After the tough loss, So. Cal UFC came back to beat Austin 5 – 2 to capture the Bronze.
The 1st ever US National Floorball Championship Final was a thriller between the tournaments 2 best teams, Innebandy LA and San Diego. With San Diego in 1st place and Innebandy LA in 2nd place after the round robin games and strong performances in the semifinals, both teams had proven to be worthy finalists. The final game was well played with strong performances from both teams and excellent goaltending. When San Diego put in the 2-2 equalizer with a couple of minutes left in the game the stage was set for a thriller.
San Diego then handed LA the opportunity of the game in the form of a penalty. LA pushed hard to score the winner with the man advantage but the score remained 2-2 at the end of regulation. With the penalty to San Diego carrying over into the 5 minute sudden-death overtime period, LA pressed on for the win. San Diego fought hard to stay alive and managed to stop LA from scoring on the power play. The game raged back and forth for the remainder of the sudden-death period without either team being able to score.
Penalty Shoot Out competition: LA took charge in the shootout with 2 unanswered goals from Marcus Davidsson and Erik Nord. Although San Diego kept their hopes alive with a goal from Carl Persson in the 4th round, LA Innebandy’s Christopher Bjelkstam could AND DID secure the win by scoring his team’s 3rd shoot out goal.
2010 National Champions - Innebandy LA.
Final note: The organizer, P. Erik Larsson, thanks every single person, player, volunteer that showed up for this tournament - YOU ALL made the tournament the success it was, THANK YOU! Hope you ALL come back for theJanuary 2011 MADNESS and August 2011 US OPEN.

<title>Unbeatable Bulldogs took the Final round spot from Women´sEFCQ West</title>

There were lots of stakes left for the last day ofWomen´s EFCQ West. Frederikshavn Bulldogs and Tunet IBK had played the tournament without losses and today it was time for thedecisive match.
Danish team Frederikshavn Bulldogsturned out to bethe stronger team and with the 5-2 victory over Tunet IBK the Bulldogs confirmed the1st placeof theQualification and therefore also the spot to the EuroFloorball Cup Final round.
Inthe other matcheson SundayMFBC Grimma won HDM 8-4 and CUF Leganes took theirfirst victory by winning UHC Schaan 4-3.

Although the Women´s EFCQ West was played as a group without playoffs, the Sunday´s match between Frederikshavn Bulldogs and Tunet IBK felt like a final of the tournament. Bulldogs took thecontrol of the match on the beginning as they started the scoring already in the first period.
The young forward Cecilia Di Nardodominated the field and in thefirst minutesof the 2nd period Bulldogs took already a 4-0 lead. This far Di Nardo had collected 1+3 and the Bulldogs captain Mette Faurholt had scored two goals.
Tunet IBK started the third period sharply as Marna Lunde reduced the lead right after the intermission. Caroline Hansen´s 5-1 goaltook however the edge off from Tunet´s chase and the second goal scored by Lunde sealed the final result to 5-2.
The victory secured the EFC Final Round place for Bulldogs and therefore the team will represent Denmark in the Final round for the 2nd time in a row.

3rd place for MFBC Wikinger Grimma
The third place of the Qualification tournament was at stake in the match between Dutch HDM and home team MFBC Wikinger Grimma. HDM needed a victory and they also started the scoring as Flor Thijssens (2+1) scored the opening goal.
The score after thefirst period was even with the 2-2score, but in the second period the German team took charge of the match. Jennifer Thomas scored her second on the match and increased the leadto 5-2. Despite this, HDM did not give up and came back to the match once more. First Thijssens fought the ball to Grimma´s net while playing short handed and in the beginning of the third period the goal scored by Anna Kijlstra (1+2) reduced the German lead to 5-4.
The breaking point of the match was seen few minutes later, when Sonja Dietel (1+1) and Antje Schmidt (2+0) scored two goals within 23 seconds. This was too much for HDM and with final result8-4 home team MFBC Wikinger Grimma took the 3rd place of the Qualification.

CUF Leganes took first victory
UHC Schaan started the match against CUF Leganés well and took the 2-0 lead in the first period with goals scored by Andrea Dietrich and Sabrina Aeschlimann. In the end of the periodIris Ocaña Ruisanchezreduced the lead and as there were no goals seen on the 2nd period, the score was 2-1 in the beginning of the final period.
Ruisanchezcontinued her good performance on the field and scored two more goals in the last period. Schaan also managed to score once sothe match was 3-3 with five minutes left.
Thewinning goal of the match was scored by Rocio Dominguez Arenafor CUF Leganés and with a4-3 victory the Spanish team took their first victory in the tournament.
HDM, UHC Schaan and CUF Leganés collected all two points in the tournament so thefinal order was decided by goal difference of the mutual matches. Therefore HDM was placed 4th, Schaan 5th and Leganés 6th in the Qualification.

<title>Drawing a lot decided the EFC Final round spot to Storvreta IBK</title>
<link>http://www.floorball.org/news.asp?kieli=826&amp;id_tiedote=1616</link>
<description>

A thrilling matchbetween Tapanilan Erä and Storvreta IBKended with a4-4 draw.Sincethe points, total goaldifference andscored goalswere all even, the Final Round spot was decidedwith drawing a lot. This because no other sport solution was possible in this series system.
After the match the Jury Chairman Michael Lachenmaiermade the ballot and itwas Storvreta IBKthat was drawn and Storvreta will therefore play in the EFC Final round in Latvia on October.

Lauri Kapanen scored two power play goals for Tapanilan Erä

The match was top Floorball alreadyfrom the beginning. Both teams played fast passing play and were able to create scoring situations.Storvreta hada good chance to take the lead in the middle of the period, butJani Naumanen in the Erä goal savedthetwo attemptsof Joakim Olsson with fast reaction saves.
The first goalwas scored on power play. Storvretamoved the ball with accuratepasses anditwas Henrik Stenbergwhoshot the ball to the net with a one-timer from the centre. AlsoEräbuilt upplaces to score their opening goal, but the shots went wideor were saved by the Storvreta goalkeeper Viktor Klinsten.
Storvreta started the 2nd period strongly, Joakim Olsson took the ball from anopponent and shotit to the net. Olsson continuedhis good performance few minutes later, when he shot a low ball to the bottom corner ofthe Erägoal andincreased the Swedish team´s lead to three goals.

Eräcame back into the match only one minute later, when Mika Moilanen scored an impressive goal by lifting the ball to the net with the backhand. In the end of second period Storvretawas penalized andErä took advantage of the manpower. After nice passes Lauri Kapanen was found free from thecentre and he shot the reducing3-2 goal with a one-timer.
Thrilling end of the match
In the third period two more power play goalswere seen, first Erä equalized the matchto 3-3 andthis power play goal was shot again by Kapanen. Less than two minutesafter this, it was Fredrik Holtz´sturnto score a power play goal with hard aslapshot and Storvreta IBK took thelead again.
Erä did notgive up and the equalizer was seen. This time it was Markus Bollström whoshot the ball to Storvreta goal with a longdistance shot. The last five minutes were played aggressively and both teams had still many scoring opportunities, but despite the open goal possibilities the ball did not found its way to either goal.

Fredrik Holtz scored the 4-3 leading goal to Storvreta IBK
Thefeeling in the arena after thefinal signal was unreal. Both teams had the sameamount of points, the same goal difference and sameamount of scoredgoals after three matches.According to the rules the decisionabout the winner of the tournament was decided with drawing a lot, which was done right after the match. Storvreta IBK was the luckier team and will therefore play in the EFC Final Round 2010 in Latvia in October.
The Jurychairman, Michael Lachenmaier, explained the situationafterwards.-Sinceall the criteria was equal, there was no other choice according to the rules. This time itwasconfusing, but the rules have to be made so,that we are able to follow them in all situations. For example the playing order of the tournament was also balloted so it could have been possible that thismatch would have been played already on Fridayor Saturday. With the same results we would have been in a situation that Tigers Langnau and Storvreta IBK wouldhaveplayed the last match,so then it would have been impossible to have a penalty shot competition between Erä and Storvreta IBK.

The head coach of Tapanilan Erä, Petteri Bergman, told that this result continued their series of tight losses. - We knew the rules already when we registered to the tournament and the situation was clear also before the match. We did our best to win the match, but our performance today was not enough. Within a year we have lost the EFC Final on extra-time, the 5th Final of Salibandyliigawith penalty shots and now this Qualification with a ballot. I want to believe in the phrase that when you have lost enough, you are ready to start winning.
Bergmanalso gave credit to the opponent and was proud of his own team. - I want to thank Storvreta for a great match. As the final result shows, this was a tight battle between two teams and great entertainmentfor the full house of spectators. I am proud of my team, we did our best and this time this was how far it got us.

The star player of Storvreta IBK, Mika Kohonen, had mixed feelings after the match. - It feels really weird. Our goal was to achieve the Final round spot, but this was not the way we wanted to do it. Erä played good match, they moved the playersand the ball fast and 4-4 was a justified result. Our young players played well today and the older did not play tha good. This was not thebestperformance ofStorvreta IBK.

The big hero in team Augur was Jani Karhulahti who started the scoring by making 1-0 after 11:17, the first of totallythree goals in the final that Augur in the end won by 6-1. The onlyRussian goal was scored in the last minute of the match by Yuriy Osin.

<description>

As expected the final match between Energa Olimpia and Nemsova was a complete different match than the one in the group.

Energa Olimpia arrived to the EFCQ East as favourites and the performance during the group matches hadnot change that. Nemsova came as expected out in the final witha completely different attitude than in the group match and took the lead already after 01:25. Being very effective,Nemsova increased the lead to 2-0 in the 8th minute before Energa Olimpia after 08:05 finally could get the ball into the net behind Sára Horková.After 15.44 Olimpia Energia was rewarded a penalty shot and Julia Jurkowska made no mistake equalizing the match to 2-2.The 2nd period very much lookedlike the first - Energia had more chances but there was no goals made by any of the teams. In the 3rd period Energia came out as a new team and decided the match with three goals in three minutes, from 41:56 to 44:56 and thereafter could control the match to a 7-3 win taking them to the EFC Final round in Latvia.

The Finnish teamtried to push hard for offence play, but had troubles getting the ball to the best scoring sector.Tight Red Ants defence forced NST forwards to the corners and theyweren´t able toget many shotson goal. <title>Storvreta IBK took 7-3victory - drawing a lot might decide the qualifying team</title>
<link>http://www.floorball.org/news.asp?kieli=826&amp;id_tiedote=1611</link>
<description>

Swedish champion Storvreta IBK started the EFCQ Top 4 Nations with 7-3victory. They outplayed the Swiss opponent Tigers Langnau already in the first period. Storvreta was especially effective on the special situations asthey scored five goals eighter short handed or during a power play.
Storvreta´svictory means that the spot for the EFC Final Round will be decided tomorrow in the match between Storvreta and Tapanilan Erä.

Since yesterday´s match Tapanilan Erä - Tigers Langnau ended with same 7-3 result to Erä it means that if Sunday´s decisive match between Storvreta IBK and Tapanilan Erä ends with a tie, the spot to the EFC Final Round will be decided with drawing a lot.
This is due to the fact that both teams have now 2 points and the same goal difference. If also tomorrow´s match is a tie, then all possible points are even and in a three team group there is no other possibility to decide the winner of the group. The criteria for the order in a group is found here.

FB Agentsimproved their gameand took victory over CUF Leganés
The match in Oslo was played between Amsterdam FB Agenstsand the Spanish CUF Leganés. Agentsstarted the match well and took2-0 lead inthe first period.CUF Leganescame with force to the third period andJesus Garcia Montemayor tied the match after only 9 seconds. The Spanish teamhave been struggling the whole five day tournament with only 7 field players anda goalie and this was seen in the end of the match.Agents scored twoquick goals in the end and this was enough for 4-2 victory.
Interesting Sunday ahead in the Women´s tournament in Grimma

Tunet IBKreplied to the Bulldog´s victory against Grimmawith a great style and send the Danish team a"threatening letter" before the tomorrow´s match by winningCUF Leganés 21-2.
Tunet IBK´scaptain Pia Molbergstarted the scoring already in the first minute. Tunet played really offensively but until the 15th minute of the 1st period Leganes had enough strength to face the continuous pressure of Norwegian players and prepared rare but dangerous counter-attacks.

In last five minutes Leganesscored four goals in a row and their resistance was broken. During second and third period Tunet scored 16 times and although the Spanish goalkeeper Raquel Rodriguez had many amazing saves match ended with two figures result. The most Tunet players effective were #55 Jesikka Sundberg (6+3), #7 team captain Pia Molberg (5+4) and #37 Kristina Haug (4+3).
Bulldogswon HDM and stayed in therace for the Final Round spot

After winning their match today, the Tunet IBK was ready to take the place in the EFC Finals, but responsefrom theFrederikshavn Bulldogstook only three hours when they won their own match against HDM. The beginning of the match was careful, Bulldogs held the ball and patiently waited for the mistakes of HDM.
Numberswere changed after eight minutes when #18 Helle Gronbach scored 1-0 for Bulldogs. Gronbachcontinued the good performanceandscored next two goals for her team in the next 7 minutes and Bulldogs had the 3-0lead after 14 minutes.

After the first period the match was 5-2 for the Danish team. During the second and third periods the match became tighter. Dutch ladies started to play more physically andgave the Bulldogs their own medicine. Danish players started to have problems with the opponent who played with passion. After that the Danes were able to score only 3 times. Victory 8-2 against HDM means that Bulldogs and Tunet will solve the qualifier tomorrow. Bulldogs have to win tomorrow to achieve the place in the Finals, since Tunet has scored more goals and let in less goals than Bulldogs.

Olimp Fryazino proved to be stronger than Dragons Ruzinovin the first semifinal of the Men´s tournament. The match kick-startedwith a penalty shot to the Russians already after 36 seconds but the chance of an early lead was missed. Olimp did anyhow take the lead in the 8th minute and although the equalizer came less than two minutes later Olimp didn´t let Dragons into the match for real but went to a 6-1 lead after half the match. And started to relax and fell into Dragons game...In just 8 minutes of give-and-take-floorballDragons went from 1-6 to 5-8 and had Olimpa little bit shaking for a while untilthe Russiansagain took the grip and ruled the match to a, in the end, clear 11-7 win.SK Augur showed no mercy inthe semifinal

<title>Red Ants took the advantage in Women´s Top Qualification</title>
<link>http://www.floorball.org/news.asp?kieli=826&amp;id_tiedote=1608</link>
<description>

The Women´s Top 4 EFCQ will be played with the total result of two matches between Finnish NST-Lappeenranta and Swiss Red Ants Rychenberg Winterthur.
The first match was an intensive game where Red Ants had the lead, but NST was chasing close throughout the match. The final result3-2 for Red Ants leavesbig stakes forSunday´s decisive match.

The match was really intensive already from the beginning as both teams were fore-checking high. Especially NSTpressed hardRed Ants defenders, butwith fast passes the Swiss players were able to tear down theformation. Red Ants had more of the ball possession, but neighter of the teams succeeded in scoringduring the first period.
Theopening goal of the match was scored in the 2nd period after an organised offence play. Sina Casutt passed the ball to Silvana Nötzli in the centre, whose powerful wristshot went in to the NST net just under the bar.
NST continued to keep up the tempo when they had theball asthey tried to score from fast counter attacks. Red Ants on the other hand took morecalmly whenpossessingthe ball and concentrated on building the offence play.

Anu Forsback and Sandra Dirksen succeeded both in scoring
Stadelmann´s goal secured the victory for Red Ants

Natalie Stadelmann shot the decisive goal to the net

NST was able to tie the match in the beginning of third period, when Anu Forsback scored the equalizer. Red Ants had a good momentum in the middle of the period as they scored two goals within 30 seconds. First Sandra Dirksen took the lead back to Swiss team and already from the next possibility Natalie Stadelmann increased the lead to two.
NST came back to the match once still. Dirksen was sent to the penalty box and NST needed only 22 secondsfor power play goal.Few fast passes by Carina Kovanen and Laura Kokko ended to an accurate shot to the netby Kokko. This was the last goal of the match and the result 3-2 to Rychenberg leaves lots of stakes for the Sunday´s match.

Natalie Stadelmannfelt that the team spirit was the key for the Red Ants victory.- We believed to the victory from beginning to the end. We knew that we were able to win the match and that was shown in our performance. We had also studied the opponents tactics so that was also an advantage for us.
Tomorrow´s decive match will start at t 11:00 (10:00 CET) in Mosahalli and Stadelmann is looking forward to a tight match. - With today´s result both teams have a chance for the Final round spot so it will be extremely tough game. We will do everything to win!

<title>EFCQ East teams in a "waiting for the play-offs mode"</title>
<link>http://www.floorball.org/news.asp?kieli=826&amp;id_tiedote=1607</link>
<description>

If the Thursday matches had nerve and excitement the Friday matches had no such tendencies. It was like the teams had turned themselves into a "waiting for the play-offs mode".

SK Augur outplayed Vendetta
SK Augur never gave Vendetta the chance to get into this match. After 5 goals in the first 6 minutes the match was of course already settled. Augur though continuedplaying their way through the match to a 22-4 victory. Although the figures were high Vendetta never gave up but worked hard the complete match.

Olimp Fryazino continues to impress
The last match in group Awas the only match today were some nerve could be expected. The last chance forDunai Krokodilok (HUN)to reach the semifinal was to beat Olimp Fryazino (RUS). The Russians however took the immediate grip of the happenings in the match and had a convincing lead 4-0 already after 17 minutes. When Krokodilok missed a penalty shot in the end of the first period it became clear that this was not going to be their day.Olimp continued to focus on the match and won impressingly easy with 12-1and can look forward to the semifinals.

Energa Olimpia and Nemsova practising for the final

Energa Olimpia showed more interest in the last group match than Nemsova.Since both teams already were qualified to the final this match was a test without bigger value and the result 14-4 to Energa Olimpiais surely forgotten when the final starts on Sunday. Eszterhazy-MeisewonTVZ Wikings in the preview of the bronze match

The playing order in the Women´s tournament gave us another match where the interest was more focused on the play-off match to come rather than than the match to be played. The same teams will play against eachother in the 3rd place match on Saturday so the the feeling was that the teams had put themselves in a mode waiting for that match. After an even first period Eszterhazy-Meise went from 4-2 to 10-3 in the 2nd and finally won 11-5. TVZ Wikings came back a bit in the last period winning this with 2-1.

<title>Erästarted the Top 4 Qualification with victory</title>
<link>http://www.floorball.org/news.asp?kieli=826&amp;id_tiedote=1606</link>
<description>

The Men´s Qualification for Top 4 Nations started in Helsinki with match between home team Tapanilan Erä and Swiss Tigers Langnau.
The beginning of the match was even, but the effectivestarts and endsof the periods turned the match to Erä. They were able to score three goals in the first/last minute of the periods, which secured the7-3 victory for the home team.

Both teams started the match carefully, but after the first minutes it was Erä who took the control. The firstgoal came from fast counter attack and the second one Jani Kukkola scored with a brilliant shot.
In the first minute of the 2nd period Kukkola increased the lead already to 3-0.After this Langnau came back to the matchand had couple of good scoring situations.Langnau playerbroke free, but Jani Naumanen in the Erä´s goal saved thescoring attempt. Few minutes later Langnauhowever succeeded when Marco Burkhalter´s hard slapshotfound its wayto thenet and reduced the lead to 3-1.

Mika Moilanen scored two important goals for Erä

Erä decided the match in the beginning of the 3rd period.Juho Kantola scored 4-1whenthree secondswere lefton the second period and the same line continued the scoring in the first minutes ofthe thirdperiodwhenMika Moilanen (2+1) scored two goals. When 45 minutes were played, Erä had already 7-1 lead and the match was settled.
In the end Langnau got couple ofgoals, but they werereally not able to threatenErä´s lead and the final score was 7-3.
On Saturday the Women´s tournament will begin with match between Red Ants Rychenberg and NST-Lappeenranta and the Men´s match will be between Tigers Langnau and Storvreta IBK.

The captain of the Swiss team, Marc Dysli, was dissapointed after the match. -It was tough to play. Erä played quickFloorball so it was not easy to play against them. I think our biggest problem was that we lost too manycheap balls to them.
Despite the loss, Dysliwas still looking forward toSaturday´s match againstStorvreta IBK. -I think it will no problem to get the focusfor tomorrow. It willbeeasy to motivate the team, afterall we are playing against the Swedish champion.

Marc Dysli

Jaakko Rissanen

Tapanilan Erä forward Jaakko Rissanen (1+1) felt that their preparation for the match was successful.- Our coaches had made good researchfrom the opponent and our passive tactic worked well. I think one of the main reasons for our victory was that we were strong in the 1 vs 1 situations and won many balls to our team. Therefore we were able to control the ball and thattook us to the victory.

<title>Clearvictories and tight strugglesin the EFCQ West</title>
<link>http://www.floorball.org/news.asp?kieli=826&amp;id_tiedote=1605</link>
<description>

In Grimma the day started with the match between CUF Leganés and HDM, which didn´t bring the first victory for Leganés.
In Oslo the situation was tight after the first two days. Two interesting matcheson Friday, follow those on-line here.

Four teams have 2 points, but Tunet and Agents have only played one match so far and they will meet each other in the evening match today. Which teamwill score the points? In Grimma anything can happen, there has already been surprises so far and the battle for the qualifiers place is getting tighter.

CUF Leganés-HDM 1-7

Still no victory for CUF Leganes
In the first match of the EFCQ Women West for the day CUF Leganes and HDM meet in match which had the same script as all the other Spanish matches. Leganes was unable to create good scoring opportunities and merely concentrated on defending, giving HDM time and space to find openings in the Spanish defense. HDM won easily by 7-1, with two goals by both #23 Anna Kijlstra and #97 Suzan Hombergen.

IFK Paris-GLS L´Aquila 4-3
First Victory for IFK Paris

IFK Paris took its first victory in the EFCQ West Men in Oslo against GLS L´Aquila by 4-3. The match was careful playing from both sides and there were a lot of mistakes and ball losses. L´Aquila even tried without the goalie in the end, but they couldn´t make a succesful attempt to score.
IFK Paris and L´Aquila now both have 2 points after 3 matches and they have 1 match left. Paris against Tunet and L´Aquils against the FB Agents.
UHC Schaan-Tunet IBK 0-10
Tunet chasing goals

The first 30 minutes of the match between Tunet and Schaan was fairly even and played with quite a slow tempo, giving Schaan some possibilities. In the last ten minutes of the second period Tunet pushed on the gas pedal and went their way, scoring 4 goals.
Tunet still needed to score as many goals as possible, to keep a favorable goal difference towards Bulldogs, for what seems to be the grand finale against them on Sunday. Schaan tried through the match to build their attacks, but was stopped by the strong Norwegian defense. Tunet finally won the match by 10-0.

Bulldogs-MFBC Grimma 7-0
No chance for Grimma

Grimma was not able to find a way to stop the Danish duo #33 Cecilia Di Nardo (3+0) and #26 Caroline Hansen(0+2), who so far have produced over half of the Danish goals. The Germans, especially the forwards were not used to play against so physically strong and organised opponents, giving away the balls easy and missing their markings of the Danish players. Bulldogs outplayed the Germans in the first period by 5-0.
Despite the new and difficult situation, Grimma was able to create quite a number of situations throughout the game, but the level of the execution was really poor, missing open goals a number of times. Bulldogs controlled the ball in the second period, scoring one goal.
The third period didn’t change anything, with one additional goal for Bulldogs. The clear victory now gives the danes the advantage and puts Bulldogs in a favorite position before the match against Tunet IBK on Sunday.

No mercy for FB Agents
If Grimma didn´t have a change against the Bulldogs the same situation was in Oslo, where FB Agents played against Tunet IBK. Tunet won the match 15-3 and the Agents were under a heavy pressure through the whole match although they scored few beautiful goals. On the other hand the Agents goalie # 86 Klas Bennegard had a very sweatty evening and he made some 30 saves.</description>

<title>Tough day for the home teams of EFCQ East</title>
<link>http://www.floorball.org/news.asp?kieli=826&amp;id_tiedote=1604</link>
<description>

The home teams of EFCQ Easthad it tough during the second day of play. Both teams lost their respective match meaning that Eszterhazy Meise can´t reach the final and Dunai Krokodilok must beat Olimp Fryazino on Friday to reach the semifinal.

Last minute goal took SK Augur to the first victory
On the second day of play SK Augur (EST)entered the tournament playing vs Dragons Ruzinov (SVK) in a fast and physical match. Having won their first match the Dragons would secure a place in the semifinals if they could get at least a draw. Augur started well and could take an early lead by a power play goal and continued to play well. Dragons however were extremely efficient and used their opportunities to score and turned the match into a 3-1 leadafter the 1st period.
The 2nd period started in the same way, both teams played well, but Augur could not get the ball behind the Dragons goalie Martin Menczer. Instead Marek Krchnak scored his 2nd and Dragons 4th goalafter almost half the match.Augur kept calm and suddenly the shots started to find the way into the net.Three goals in less than 4 minutes was scored and it was 4-4 after the 2nd period.
In the 3rd period Augur turned the match and when they scored 6-4 after 50 minutes it looked like "game over". But Dragons showed great spirit andafter two goals by Krchnakin 2,5 minutes they were back in thematch.Just 47 seconds after the equalizerAugur regained the lead and managed to keep thee lead for 2,5 minutes -when Dragons again equalized. And now it looked like the match would end with a draw but with just 34 seconds left of the match Panu Majuri became the hero for Augur by scoring the last goal of the match setting the result to8-7.

Benjamin Bajec secured victory for Borovnica
In group A it was time for the home team, Dunai Krokodilok (HUN),to join the heat. Borovnica (SLO) who needed to win to still be able to reach the semifinals started very offensive and after 1:42 Borovnica was in a 2-0 lead.
The Crocodiles slowly worked themselves into the match but the Slovenian goalie Benjamin Bajecdid not let any ball pass himuntil 19:22 when the Crocodiles scored their first goal to be 1-4 down, which also was the result after the first period.

Benjamin Bajec made 32 saves

When Borovnica increased their lead to 5-1 early in the 2nd period and later made 6-2 in the 37th minute and Bajec continued to stop all attempts from the Crocodiles it looked very dark for the home team. But suddenly the shots started to find their way into the Slovenian net and at 52:01 the Crocodiles made 5-6 on a penalty shot.
In the last 8 minutes the Crocodiles did everything except scoring and the final whistle came as a big relief for Borovnica that could thank their goalie for the win afterhis excellent performance.

Easy victory for Energa Olimpia over TVZ Wikings

Energa Olimpia did not give TVZ Wikings the least chance in this match. After 8-0 in the first period followed by 7-0 in the second Energa Olimpia slowed down so much that Wikings could win the last period with 1-0, giving the final result 15-1 for Energa which already now places them in the final on Sunday.Eszterhazy-Meise - Nemsova

Eszterhazy-Meise needed, after yesterday´s loss, to win versusNemsova to still have the chance to reach the final on Sunday. So when Nemsova took an early lead which was increased to 2-0 in the middle of the first period not much pointed towards a win for Meise. After a goaless 2nd period Nemsova opened the 3rd period withthe 3rd goalby Zuzana Strapkova.
After this goal Meise suddenly started to get paid for their efforts. At 46:33, after three goals in less than three minutes Meise had equalizedthe match to 3-3.

Photo: FlorianBüchtung/www.sport-live.net

Although the crowd was behind Meise Nemsova could turn the match to their advantage again and by scoring three goals in less than 5 minutes the final result was set to 6-3 to Nemsova. The matches the last day of the Women´s tournament will now only decide which teams are home teams in the Final respective 3rd place match.

FB Agents-IFK Paris

The first match of the day in Oslo was also the first match for FB Agents Amsterdam against IFK Paris. The Agents slightly controlled the very careful first period. Few power plays, but no goals scored in the first period. In the second period the Agents got their chance. Paris player # 26 Manuel Budemaier made two offences in a row and one of them lead to a penalty shot and the Agents didn’t miss.

They also had a power play for two minutes, but this time they couldn’t score. That happened some 5 minutes later, when Ulrik Jonsson scored the second goal for the Agents. This result remained all the way to the end of the second period. The third periodcontinued tight with some penalties and power play goals. In the end the Agentsturned out to be better and they won the match 6-3.
HDM-UHC Schaan in Grimma

HDM started the game actively, with #55 Judith Brock scoring 1-0. Gradually the Dutch then started to only defend passively from half field, giving the ball control to UHC Schaan and only tried to go for counter attacks. UHC Scaan used this effectively and took a 4-1 lead. The third period started off with a fast goal from UHC Schaan, by #21 Sabrina Aeschlimann giving them the 5-1 lead.

HDM came back fast scoring two goals in less than 15 seconds. HDM continued to put pressure on the Schaan goal, giving them a lucky goal with nine minutes to go, but that was as far as they could get, securing what can be seen as a surprise victory for UHC Schaan with 5-4.
Bulldogs-CUF Leganés

As expected the Bulldogs played cat and mouse with CUF Leganes, forcing the Spaniards only to defend, which they did well despite the ruff numbers. The Danish dynamic duo #33 Cecilia Di Nardo (4+5) and #26 Caroline Hansen (4+1), continued to totally dominate the field. The Spanish goalie #1 Raquel Rodrigues Hernandez had a very busy evening making 39 saves and despite that Bulldogs won the match 14-2.

MFCB Grimma-Tunet IBK

The stakes for the evening match were high for Grimma, since this was the tournament “final” for them. Grimma forced Tunet to make mistakes, thus taking an early lead by the goals of #25 Anne-Marie Mietz and #2 Ulrike Muller. Tunet, which appeared to be in shock in the first period, took a time out after Grimma’s third goal. Tunet was still not able to open the german defense, which resulted in frustration, visible by a number of small fouls and bad shots taken.

Tunet gradually got their game intact after playing controlled power plays in the second period, which put the germans off guard and after two goals by #4 Siri Havre Tunet had reduced to 4-3. As so many times before the last ten minutes decided the match, Tunet scored four goals, two by#47 Linnea Hamner and despite the late goal by #25 Anne-Marie Mietz, Grimma was not able to challenge Tunets 7-5 victory in the end.
CUF Leganés-GLS L´Aquila

The last match on thursday in Oslo was the struggle between CUF Leganés against GLS L´Aquila. After yesterday the Spaniards had points by winning IFK Paris and L´Aquila had to surrender to the Tunet IBK. The spectators expected to see a tight match. That it was in the beginning, but soon enough it turned out that the 7 field players and a goalie for Leganes couldn´t carry out the whole time. Leganes scored the first goal but after that L´Aquila took already 3-1 lead.
One of the top players of Leganes #80 Aitor Bermejo Lopez played practically the whole time and didn´t visit the substitution zone more than few times. L´Aquila could also find a very effective defense to be able to stop Leganes´s attempts. L´Aquila team captain # 23 Andrea Iezzi also made some very good performances and he also scored two goals and assisted one. Eventually L´Aquila was too strong for the tired Leganes and the match ended up to L´Aquila 6-2 victory.
