Changes for Player Transfers as of 1st of September 2017 – 29.08.2017

IFF Central Board has approved several changes for Player transfers

International Transfer period extended until 15th of January.

IFF CB approved the extension of the transfer period to be from 1st of July until 15th of January, instead of the previous 31st of December, which found to be problematic due to the holiday seasons.

Transfer fee changed for IFF member associations ranked outside the 25
International Player transfers to IFF member associations, which are ranked outside the 25 in the official WFC IFF ranking, the transfer fee is now 100 CHF. The fee of 200 CHF will remain the same for regular transfers for associations with ranking of 1-25. Also Express fee of 300 CHF will remain the same for all international transfers, regardless of ranking.

New international short term/temporary transfers: Intercontinental Visitor transfer and Intermediate Student transfer

Intercontinental Visitor transfer can be granted during the official transfer period (1.7. – 15.1.) for a player who wants to play in another club in another continent for maximum of 60 days. An intercontinental visitor transfer can be made valid for specific 60 days period based on the application of a player. The transfer fee for this transfer is 100 CHF.  When the 60 days period is over the player automatically transfers back to the original club and no separate transfer is needed. Two intercontinental visitor transfers per player can be granted during the official transfer period.

Intermediate Student transfer can be granted during the official transfer period for a player, who is to study in a foreign country and who wants to play in club in this country. An intermediate student transfer can be made valid also for a specific 60 days period based on the application of a player, including the written proof of her/his studies abroad. The transfer fee for this transfer is 50 CHF.  When the 60 days period is over the player automatically transfers back to the original club and no separate transfer is needed.

On IFF Transfers website there is a new form for Intercontinental Visitor transfer and Intermediate Student transfer. On the form you have to choose which type of transfer you apply for. With the Intermediate Student transfer is obligatory to send a written proof for the studies abroad.
