16.7-16.8.2010 - Next Floorball Development seminar in St. Petersburg, Russia

The next Floorball Development Programme Seminar will be organised by the IFF, in co-operation with the  St. Petersburg Open Floorball League. The seminar will be held just outside the city of St. Petersburg, Russia at the Summer Colony Burevestnik from the 24th to the 26th of September 2010. After the success of the IFF Floorball Development Programme Seminars held all over the world since the start of the Programme in 2005, the IFF Development Function has together with the Russian Floorball Federation decided to organise a separate session of the Floorball Development Programme for the member associations with Russian speaking members, as well as new and potential IFF member countries, in order to support and develop the organisation and the operational activities of our members and emerging countries. Seminar content The seminar is built on the “Train the Trainer”-approach, including three different blocks, one for Organisation, one for Coaching and one for Refereeing. These three different blocks are all aiming to give additional knowledge and support in these fields to the participating federations and persons interested in Floorball. A participant can only take part in one block during the seminar. The seminar is directed to give insight in organisational issues for the persons running federation’s/clubs or planning to form one, the coaching course is meant for club and playing coaches and persons interested in coach instructors and the refereeing part is for persons responsible for referee education, nomination, observing and some referees. The course consists of a combination of theoretical lectures, practical training sessions, group works and hand-on training and match observation during three days. The IFF has built a course material, consisting of lectures, practical rehearsals and instructions, which are all in English. The seminar organiser will have some of these materials translated into Russian. However all the lectures will be translated into Russian by interpreters. All the participants to this course will receive the educational material from the course. Register latest September 1st The International Floorball Federation together with the Russian Floorball Federation/St. Petersburg Open Floorball League invites you or your federation to participate in this Floorball Development Seminar, with 3-4 persons per country in each of the three blocks in St. Petersburg. You may request for a support letter from the Open Floorball League, in order to help in receiving visas to Russia. The participation in the Floorball Development Programme Seminar is free of charge, but all participants are responsible for their costs related to travel, accommodation and food. The organiser has prepared an accommodation and food package for EUR 25/day (3-4 persons per room) and 45 EUR/day (2 persons per room). In order to register please be in contact with the St. Petersburg Open Floorball League and Ms. Elena Bulatova on the following email address liga@floorball.spb.ru, who will be able to help you with all practical questions concerning participation, accommodation and travelling. The participants are advised to arrive in St. Petersburg on the night of Thursday the 23rd of September, after which the organiser will transport all participants to the summer colony. The IFF and organiser would like to ask the participants and the National Associations to answer the organiser and IFF Office with the nominations of participants to the seminar latest by the 1st of September, 2010, if they are interested of participating in the Development Seminar in St. Petersburg in September.
