21.6-21.7.2010 - Mr. Petri Kettunen will lead Finnish Menīs national team after WFC 2010

The Finland Menīs national team will get a new head coach after the home WFC 2010. The new head coach for Finland will be Mr. Petri Kettunen.

Mr. Petri Kettunen (39) will continue Mr. Petteri Nykkyīs work as the head coach of the Finnish national team after the Menīs WFC in Helsinki on December 2010. Nykky was nominated as the head coach after WFC 2004 and has been leading the national team since then. Kettunenīs contract is for two years.  

Kettunen will lead the Finnish team to the World Champiohsips 2012, which are played in Switzerland. He has a strong coaching background in Floorball. In the Salibandyliiga Kettunen has coached Josba for six years and two years he has also been coaching in Switzerland. The last two years he has been working as the head of coaching in the Finnish Floorball Federation.

Kettunen is already now a part of the Finlandīs Menīs national team management. He is partly responsible of planning of the coaching and in matches he takes care of the line-ups.

Kettunen is pleased with the nomination, but points out that now thoughts are still on the ongoing WFC project.
"Iīm extremely honored to be nominated as a head coach, but at the time the main focus is to be able to win gold medal in home WFC on December. The plans for the future will be made after the upcoming championships."
