IKSU Women’s Champions for the second time in a row

Almost 11 000 spectators watched as IKSU and KAIS Mora IF battled for the title. KAIS Mora were more awake in the beginning and scored the opening goal with 15 minutes played. In the second period the reigning champions IKSU stepped up their game and the tables were turned. After 40 minutes IKSU were in a 2-1 lead. IKSU continued their strong play in the third period as they increased their lead to 4-1 with less than six minutes left on the clock. KAIS Mora were able to decrease the score to 4-2, but that was it. IKSU celebrated their second championship in a row.

Storvreta win their fifth national title

The two Swedish powerhouses Storvreta IBK and IBF Falun both were eager to win their fifth gold. Storvreta had a strong start as they took a 2-0 lead, but Falun decreased the score to 2-1 before the end of the first period. Though Falun evened the score, Storvreta were soon once again in a two-goal lead. In the third period Falun put pressure on the regular season winner, but Storvreta’s defence didn’t budge and they blocked one shot after another. During the last minutes Storvreta sealed the deal with two empty-netters and became the champions with a 6-2 win.
