Top Transfers of the week - Juha Kivilehto – 05.01.2018

Year 2018 starts with a Top Transfer of the Finnish national team player Juha Kivilehto

The three times world champion and six times the Finnish champion Juha Kivilehto has joined the Finnish Classic men´s team from Tampere. The agreement will cover the current period and the 2018-2019 period. Kivilehto, 36, moves to Tampere from the Swedish FC Helsingborg´s role as sports manager for family reasons.
─ "This season would have been my last in Sweden. Classic´s Executive Director Pasi Peltola visited the Swedish side watching the games a few weeks ago and this came up in our conversations. The decision to move to the world class organization and top coaching was ultimately easy. My own intentions will continue to develop as a player and above all to succeed at the club level. Also, the chance that I can still live in Helsinki was an important detail in the negotiations", Kivilehto explains.

Kivilehto has played over three hundred matches in the Finnish Salibandyliiga series and the team has accumulated 140 games. Classic head coach Petteri Nykky knows the "Juhis" well and is naturally pleased with the agreement.
─ "Kivilehto brings the team a big amount of leadership, experience, professionalism and more learnings about winning. Although the game has been fairly good in the light of the victories, we want to fight the even better spring season. The composition is expanding and thus enables competitiveness to grow", Nykky stresses.

Kivilehto was seen in the Classic shirt already on Thursday 5.1.18 when Classic met at home with Esport Oilers.
