Rolf Kern Women´s head coach in Switzerland – 20.01.2016

Rolf Kern is the new head coach of the Swiss Women´s national team. The former national team player and current coach of the Swiss Men´s National League (NLA) team HC Rychenberg Winterthur succeeds Sascha Brendler.

Rolf Kern will start immediately and he signed a two-year contract. The 40-year-old coach from Zurich is looking forward to the new challenge:

- It is a great honour for me to serve as a coach of the national team. I look forward to the task of building a team from many good players to have the best team that delivers the best performance on day X.

- His track record as a player and coach, both at the highest national, and international level, has been an important reason why we have approached Rolf Kern, Swiss Floorball Association Vice President Daniel Brunner emphasizes

With Rolf Kern also the assistant coach Jonas Grunder will join the national team:

- Jonas and I work very well together and I know his strengths: On the pitch we would say, we understand each other blindly, says the new national team coach.

The first event for the new coaching team will be the Euro Floorball Tour in Sweden April 22-24 2016.
