First floorball arena in Russia — 26.06.2012
On November 1st 2012 the opening of the first floorball Arena in Russia will take place in Nizhny Novgorod.
This modern Floorball sports center will be built in the Nizhny Novgorod School area. The total project cost makes up more than 100 million of Rubles or 2 424 830 Euros. Funds for the building were allocated from budget of Nizhny Novgorod. The new Floorball Arena will be a base for the floorball club Nizhny Novgorod FBC-30.
The floor area of the Floorball complex makes up 1800 square meters and it will include a sports hall 26x46 m with a special floorball flooring and spectators´ stand for 250 spectators, a gym, changing rooms, a medical room and massage room. Also the project makes provision for the equipment of coaches’ rooms. Besides children’s and juniors groups, sports groups for local residents will be in function in the Floorball Arena.
- The equipping of the construction and its compliance with international standards makes it possible to hold international children’s and adults’ floorball and other kinds of sports competitions in the new Nizhny Novgorod Sports Center, the mayor of Nizhny Novgorod Mr. Oleg Sorokin (in photo) said at the opening of the construction of Nizhny Novgorod FBC-30 Floorball Arena.
