IFF Launches Say NO! to Doping campaign during WFC 2010 — 02.12.2010
The IFF will launch its anti-doping awareness and education campaign during the 8th Men’s World Floorball Championships, December 4th – 11th, 2010 in Finland. The campaign is launched in partnership with World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the Finnish Anti-Doping Agency (FINADA) and the campaign will be visible in many different ways during the championships. The Spectators will have the opportunity to join players at the IFF Say NO! to Doping stand where they can test their anti-doping knowledge by taking the WADA Play True Quiz and pick up information about anti-doping. The IFF also urges all the spectators and players to sign the petition for clean sport.
Spectators have their chance to challenge the floorball stars and win a Say NO! to Doping ball by participating in the Visit the Say NO! to Doping Stand in Hartwall Arena Next to the Cave Restaurant (1st floor next to the spectator stands 111): Wednesday 8th: Thursday 9th: Friday 10th: Saturday 11th: ”The Say NO! to Doping campaign is a great opportunity to cooperate and spread the message of clean sport in a fun and interesting way as the players, spectators as well as different Anti-doping organisations are involved in promoting clean and fair sport”, said IFF Anti-doping Manager Ms. Merita Bruun “The use of the green and golden balls in the warm-up is really an eye-opener for the fans and players. We believe that through this campaign the level of the Anti-doping awareness will be raised substantially within the Floorball family”, said the IFF secretary general Mr. John Liljelund. The International Floorball Federation (IFF) is the fourth International Federation (IF), along with the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), FIFA and the International Archery Federation (FITA), to join WADA’s Say NO! to Doping Campaign. Have a look at the IFF’s Say NO! to Doping flyer here. The IFF plans to orgnaise the Say NO! to Doping campaign also in the future World Floorball Championships.
