Swedish team IKSU ready for the Champions Cup final after a impressing win against Swiss Piranha Chur. - We had a good first period and somehow that was it for the game, says Myra Aggestål after the 11-5 win.
Today Champions Cup started in Gävle. The national Winners for both men and women from last season from Sweden, Finland, Switzerland and Czech are here to play to become "the best club team of the World".*
Swedish team IKSU played against Swiss reigning champions Piranha Chur in their semifinal and started with a bang. 6-1 after the first period, became 7-2 after the second period. IKSU player Myra Aggestål scored two goals.
- We had a good first period and somehow that was it for the game, says Myra Aggestål after the 11-5 win and comments on her two goals:
- Of course is great fun. I don´t score a lot, so it was nice to put it in the net.
IKSU dominated the game and kept a high tempo all through the last period. The game ended 11-5. Tomorrow IKSU will play the final against Czech Vitkovice at 16.00.
Piranha Chur will play for third place against Finnish SB Pro Nurmijärvi.
- In the beginning of the game it wasn´t that fun. We let in to many goals but after that we did a really good job. Now we go back to the hotel and prepare for the game tomorrow, said Margrit Scheidegger after the game.
