Champions Cup 2015 Match Schedule — 25.05.2015


The match schedule for the 5th edition of the IFF Champions Cup is now published.

The Champions Cup is the championship tournament for the European Top Club teams and is played with 12 teams, 6 men´s teams and 6 women´s teams. In 2015 it will be played in Mladá Boleslav, Czech Republic, from 2nd - 4th October.

Men’s Champions Cup teams:
IBF Falun (SWE), SPV (FIN), SV Wiler-Ersigen (SUI), Tatran Střešovice (CZE), Florbal MB (CZE), Slevik IBK (NOR)

Women’s Champions Cup teams:
KAIS Mora IF (SWE), Classic (FIN), Florbal Chodov (CZE), Piranha Chur (SUI), Herbadent Praha 11 SJM (CZE), Sveiva IB (NOR)

Champions Cup Playing System
The Champions Cup playing format has changed starting from the 2015 edition of the CC tournament. The National Champions of the top 4 ranked IFF member associations in question, a 2nd team of the organising Association and the reigning EFC champion (of the previous season) of each category will participate in the CC.

The 2nd team from the organising Association shall be placed in the opposite side of the tournament fixture than the champion of the organising Association. The reigning EFC champion shall be placed in the opposite side of the tournament than the 2nd team from the organising Association.

The CC shall be played as follows:
Quarterfinal 1          3rd ranked v EFC Champion/2nd organisers team
Quarterfinal 2          4th ranked v 2nd organisers team/EFC Champion
5th place game       Loser QF1 – Loser QF2

Semi-Final 1              2nd ranked – Winner QF1
Semi-Final 2             1st ranked – Winner QF2

Final                           Winner SF1 – Winner SF2

The winner of the Champions Cup receives 10 000 CHF of price money and the runner-up receives 5 000 CHF price money. Also the reigning EuroFloorball Champion receives 5 000 CHF, if participating in the CC.

The above matches shall, when ending in a draw, be decided according to the IFF Rules of the Game concerning extra-time and, if necessary, penalty shots
