Happee and SB-Pro new Finnish Champions — 22.04.2014

Happee from Hyväskylä and SB-Pro from Nurmijärvi celebrate the first ever Finnish League gold medals and earned the tickets to the Champions Cup 2014.

Happee beat Classic in the men´s finals 3-1 and in the fourth match 4-3.  4 634 spectators watched the fourth final at the Synergia Arena.

Happee dominated the match for two periods and could create enough distance to take the victory. Veli-Matti Hynynen and Joonas Pylsy took Happee to a two goal lead in the first period. Hynynen increased the lead to 4-0 in the second period and finalised a hattrick.

Classic improved their performance in the third period and the match became a thriller reducing Happee´s lead to one goal. With the help of the national team goalie, Eero Kosonen, Happee could hold on to their one goal lead.

SB-Pro from Nurmijärvi is the new Finnish Women´s League champion. The team from Nurmijärvi defeated Classic, the team that had won six titles in a row, in the decisive 5th final 5-3 (3-1, 0-0, 2-2).
