ANNUAL REPORT 2000-2002

1. General
IFF consists of 9 ordinary member Associations: Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Norway, Poland, Russia, Sweden and Switzerland.

The Central Board of IFF has admitted 20 provisional member Associations: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, India, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Malaysia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and the United States.

2. The IFF Central Board (CB)
The CB elected by the IFF Congress held in Oslo 18th of May 2000 has had the following composition:

3. The Appeal Committee (AC)
The composition of the AC has been:

Tom Hedkrok (Finland), Member

The Appeal Committee has had no meeting during the period.

There has been no cases for the AC to deal with.

4. The Disciplinary Committee (DC)
The composition of the DC has been:

Matts Spångberg (Sweden), member

The Disciplinary Committee has had no meeting during the period. Two cases, filed from the RACC on January 14, 2002, were revoked from the DC by the IFF CB and put forth to the IFF President and IFF vice President to decide upon. The actual cases were Outlaw from Denmark and Helsingfors IFK both concerning incidents at the European Cup finals in Sweden January 3-6, 2002.

5. The Education and Development Committee (EDC)
The composition of the EDC has been:

The EDC has mainly carried out the development work through the three IFF founding Associations, Finland, Sweden and Switzerland, that continue to take a great responsibility when developing the floorball world.

EDC has tried to collocate the various needs of development help, i.e. by asking for annual plans from the Associations. The feed-back has been quite sparse so EDC has tried to implement certain activities on its own such as the referee seminar, held in co-operation with RC, in Hohenmölsen during the Men’s U19 World Championships 2001.

6. The Material Committee (MC)
The composition of MC has been:

MC has mainly worked with following-up of the Material Regulations which has involved several meetings with the Swedish Testing and Research Institute (SP) as well as the manufacturers of floorball equipment.

During the period a new version of the Material Regulations has been worked out and put forward to the Congress 2002 to decide upon.

7. The Marketing and Information Committee (MIC)
The composition of MIC has been:

MIC has during the period found two new sponsors, Gerflor (sports flooring) and Salming (floorball equipment).

The flyer “The World of Floorball” has been produced by MIC.

8. The Rules- and Competition Committee (RACC)
The composition of the RACC has been:

The RACC has been gathered for meetings four times between the Congresses:

The main tasks during the period has been to work with the 2002 edition of the Rules of the Game and to act as Jury of the IFF Competitions. During the period the RACC has been the Jury in the following IFF Competitions:

European Cup Qualification Round 2000 & 2001 in Czech Republic
European Cup Final round 2001 & 2002 in Sweden
Men’s World Championships 2000 in Norway
Women’s World Championships 2001 in Latvia
Men’s U19 World Championships 2001 in Germany

Other tasks for the RACC has been to follow up on International Transfers, do preparation work for coming IFF events including technical inspections etc.

Following incidents in the competitions the Regulations were constantly adapted. Several cases where reported to the Disciplinary Committee.

9. The Referee Committee (RC)
The composition of the RC has been:

The RC has been gathered for one meeting between the Congresses

08.11 2001 in Hohenmölsen

The RC has mainly been involved in the preparations of the 2002 edition of the Rules of the Game, but also appointed referees to the World Championships’, European Cup’s and friendly Internationals.

Education as well as observation of referees has mainly been made during European Cups and World Championships, but also in some friendly Internationals where the home Association has provided observers. Education has been made in the means of observation.

Specific efforts were made during the Men’s U19 World Championships 2001, where a referee management seminar was held in co-operation with the EDC.

IFF RC has also been represented, through Mr. Seiler, in the 4-Nations tournament organized by the Belgian Association (BFFU) in February 2001 and 2002.

10. The Senior Adviser’s Group (SAG)
The composition of the SAG has been:

a) World Championships
Men’s 3rd World Championships 2000 in Norway
16 Associations from 3 continents participated. The WFC was divided into an A-division with 8 teams and a B-division with 8 teams.

A-division: 1) Sweden 2) Finland 3) Switzerland 4) Denmark 5) Norway 6) Czech Republic 7) Latvia 8) Russia (Russia relegated to the B-division 2002)

B-division: 1) Germany 2) Austria 3) Estonia 4) Poland 5) Great Britain 6) Japan 7) Australia 8) Hungary (Germany promoted to the A-division 2002)

Women’s 3rd World Championships 2001 in Latvia
16 Associations from 3 continents participated. The WFC was divided into an A-division with 8 teams and a B-division with 8 teams.

A-division: 1) Finland 2) Sweden 3) Norway 4) Switzerland 5) Czech Republic 6) Latvia 7) Germany 8) Austria (Austria relegated to the B-division 2003)

The Qualification round of EC 2000-2001 was arranged in Prague with 3 teams qualifying for two places in the Final round. The Final round, for both men and women, was arranged in Gothenburg, Sweden, with 8 teams in each category.

The Qualification round of EC 2001-2002 was arranged in Prague with 7 Men’s teams qualifying for two places in the Final round. The Final round, for both men and women, was arranged in Solna & Botkyrka, Sweden, with 8 teams in each category.
